The Report Generator allows you to create professional report templates and compile multiple reports into a single PDF. This guide helps you get started and understand how to navigate and work with report templates.
 

  1. Open the Report Generator
    Go to Reports - Report Generator in your left hand menu:


     
  2. Click on Create Report

     
  3. A default report template will load with some default reports already selected.
    • Each report template consists of multiple sections (for example a cover page, financial report, or text section)
    • These sections together form the final PDF
    • Sections are displayed in the right-hand panel under the Content tab
    • The order of the sections determines the order in the PDF
    • By default, the first section is the cover page

      You can include as many sections as needed and reorder them freely by dragging and dropping.



       

  4. Add more sections and re-order them

    You can include as many sections as needed and reorder them freely by dragging and dropping. 
    To add additional reports or sections:
    • Click Add section at the bottom of the section list

    • Select the reports you want to include


       

  5. Rename your report template 
    To give your report a meaningful name:
    • Click the three dots next to the report name

    • Select Edit name

    • The report name will also be used as the default name for the exported PDF.
       

       

  6. Select the report period 

    In the Content tab in the right-hand menu, you can select the reporting period of your choice: Year, quarter or month.
     

  7. Edit sections
    Select a section to start editing it.

    • Click the gear icon in the top bar to open the report settings

      • Available settings depend on the selected report

    From the top bar, you can also:

    • Hide a section from the PDF using the eye icon

    • Delete a section using the bin icon

       

  8. Preview reports as you work

    As soon as you open a report template, you can preview the reports directly in the Report Generator.

    • Click on a section to preview it
    • Changes you make are reflected immediately
    • This allows you to adjust content, layout, and appearance before exporting the final PDF
       
      The preview helps ensure the report looks exactly as intended before it is shared or saved.

       
  9. Adjust the appearance of your report
    Click the Appearance tab to control the look and feel of the entire report.

    • Here you can:

    • Select a theme

    • Adjust fonts and font sizes

    • Change layout settings


    Note: The appearance settings affects the whole report and not only the section you are working with.

  10. Export your report
    When your report is ready:

    • Click Export

    • Download the PDF, save it to Linked Documents, or publish it to the dashboard

    Your final PDF will include all selected sections in the chosen order.
    Note: when you save or publish your report it will also always be downloaded automatically.
