The possibility to clone accounts when creating new accounts for your customers in your Client Manager offers the possibility to copy journal templates, printout templates, chart of accounts and other account settings, from one account to another.
Workflow
When creating a new client account, you will be offered the possibility of using another account as a template.
To do this, select the radio button Copy existing and then click on OK.
A new dialogue box with drop down menus will then appear offering you the possibility to choose:
- Which one of your accounts to use as a template
- Which Financial Year is to be used as a template
- Enter the start and end date of your financial year (the start and end dates of the source financial year will be offered)
Click on OK when you are ready. Then remember to Save.
A new account is created with a new financial year with the dates provided, and the following is copied from the source account:
- Payment methods
- Delivery terms
- Account classes
- Accounts
- Journal templates
- Automatic codings
- Printout templates
- Journal types
- Default accounts
- Payment terms
Tip:
You can delete any irrelevant information or templates from your new account.
