Contact the Briox Support in your country (for Finland email@example.com, for Estonia firstname.lastname@example.org etc.) and inform us that you want to activate your account for Student Registration.
This means that your students will be able to register through the Briox homepage to create an account in your teacher account.
When your account is activated, you can continue with the following steps:
In the right-hand side menu under Settings - Client Manager - Education
underneath the headline Education, activate the function "Accept student registrations directly from Briox webpage".
Under student account template there are 2 options: Here you choose whether you want to have a blank account for your students or whether you want to set up an account which already contains information that you have prepared for them by copying an existing account (read more about account template here).
Regardless of which option you choose, the students will get automatic access to Briox Accounting, Archive, and Invoicing.
The account is created automatically according to the choices you make in the settings when the students register.
If you for example want to give them automatic access to other modules when their accounts are created, you can contact the Briox support.
If you choose "blank account", the students have to create the financial year and select a chart of accounts by themselves.
If you select "copy existing account", additional fields will appear on the right: If you choose to use an account template, the account, financial year, and both date fields have to be selected.
- Choose which template account should get copied.
- Choose which financial year of the template account should get copied.
- The dates that are filled in underneath the financial year are used to create a new financial year in your students' accounts. It does not have to be the same date than the financial year you are copying the information from
Underneath the headline Teachers you can select which user(s) should be system administrator and user in case there are several teachers working with the students in one and the same Briox account.
System Administrators: They are working in the teacher's account and administer the students and the account. There should always be one administrator in each account.
Users: Can only log in and work in the students' accounts.
As soon as you are done with setting up the users, click on Save.
After clicking save you can find your Educator ID underneath the headline Education. See below:
For students to be able to register, you have to provide them your Educator ID and the link to the webpage:
After the students are registered, you can find their companies under the header Client Manager - Companies in the left-hand side menu.
Note! When a student account is created while the teacher is working in the client manager, the teacher has to log in again to access the new student database.
Recommendation! To bring order into your student accounts you can ask the students to register with their year / class in fron tof the company's name.
