General:
SAF-T is the standard audit file for tax or Standardized accounting file (i.SAF-T)
The reporting is based on a Standard SAF-T chart of accounts & The tax type table for VAT.
The SAF-T file needs to be generated Upon request only & needs to be submitted by all profit making persons from 1 January 2020 and subsequent years, if net sales revenue exceeds EUR 45 000 in the previous financial year.
Upon the request by the State Tax Inspectorate, the above given companies will be obliged to submit a standard accounting data file, which includes the entity’s accounting data for the accounting period, exported from the entity’s accounting system and covering a certain period. Practically, it signifies that companies must programme their accounting system in order to enable the export of data from the current company’s chart of accounts to the standard chart of accounts, approved by the State Tax Inspectorate.
To enable this, Briox offers the possibility to map one's own chart of accounts to the official SAF-T chart of accounts in the COA.
Link an account to a an official SAF-T account
When the general ledger is submitted via SAF-T, we need to export the accounting data with the accounts that are set out in the official SAF-T COA.
If you are working with the Briox standard chart of accounts, all your accounts are linked to a SAF-T account and the transactions posted on the Briox account get exported to the SAF-T report with the SAF-T account number.
If you are creating your own accounts you will not be able to save your account without linking it to a SAF-T account.
Proceed as follows:
Go to Registry - Chart of Accounts, click on add new account. Add an account number, an account name and an account class. See Add a new account to your Chart of accounts.
By the SAF-T account number, use the picker to access the SAF-T chart of accounts.
Select an account by clicking on it & Save when you are done.
