Drafts: Possibility to include drafts in reports & mass manage them
As a first step towards our financial statements report generator we are adding new functionality to our main reports to facilitate your work at year's end.
You can now choose to include journal drafts in the Balance Sheet report and the Profit and Loss report to be able to simulate how the journals would affect your accounting before you actually post them. When drafts are included, the drill down will take you to a version of the general ledger that includes the drafts. Reports that include drafts clearly state that and are marked as preliminary.
When you are happy with the result you can then mass manage selecting a posting date for your drafts and then posting them. Read more here.
Where:
- Include drafts: Reports - Balance sheet report & Profit & Loss
- Mass manage: Journal list - Drafts
The Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss reports have moved to a new report generator
In the new report you get the possibility to see the report and the selection window in one view so you do not need to hopp back and forth to obtain a new selection of the report.
- We have also taken the opportunity to fix the way we have presented certain 0- amounts. Now all are presented uniformly as: 0,00 with two decimals.
- Also, when you print a report per Cost Center and choose specified & Excel, you will get one P&L report per Cost Centre in its own tab of the Excel sheet.
Currency updates
The document date sets the currency rate
When you have activated the functionality for automatic currency updates and create a customer invoice or a purchase invoice that uses a foreign currency, it is the invoice date that will set the currency rate used in the invoice
The functionality works in the same manner for: Quotes, Orders and Purchase Orders as well
Automatic calculation of the currency difference
If you want to set the full payment difference of an invoice as a currency difference, you can now indicate this by pressing on the new Calculate button available in the payment modal in Banking.
