The tax code mapping view allows you to review and customise the standard mapping between accounts and tax codes.
The view is designed to offer an overview of how your accounting data will be displayed in the tax return form you are working with.
Expand the sections
Click on the sections to expand them and get an overview of the mapping that exists.
Tax Codes
Each tax code corresponds to a specific box in the tax return form. The balances of all accounts mapped to a tax code are automatically summed and displayed in the corresponding box in the tax return form.
Vero API codes
These are unique identifiers provided by the Finnish Tax Administration that correspond to specific fields in the tax return forms. When you submit your tax return electronically, these codes allow the data to be read and processed automatically by the Tax Administration's systems.
In Briox, the VERO API codes are pre-mapped to the corresponding unique Briox tax codes. We display these codes to increase transparency and help tracking upon submission.
Formulas
Some Vero API codes are calculated based on the value of other Vero API codes instead of being the sum of the balances of the mapped accounts.
The formulas for these calculations are displayed in the mapping view and the Vero API codes are shown within brackets, for example {330} means the value of Vero API code 330.
Formulas can cannot be changed manually.
Balances
Balances are displayed for each section and all the subsections.
Customising the Mapping:
Click on a section, 6 Business income for example, to expand it.
To edit the mapping, click on the row/subsection you want to update.
In the account class tree modal that appears, you can link individual accounts or entire account classes to the selected tax code.
You can also search for accounts in the modal.
Click on Select accounts to finalise your selection.
Your changes are saved immediately.
If you are using the account as a template account, you can customise the mapping for multiple tax return forms.
