The Fill in Report view contains 5 steps which walk you through filling in the report.
Values are entered automatically in the view according to your mapping.
A progress bar shows at what step of the wizard you have left of your work if you constantly mark sections as completed as you move along.
This way you are automatically returned to the step at which you left off when you return to the section.
Other features worth noting are:
- Click on Next to move along or click on the steps in the progress bar.
- All data is autosaved and automatically updated.
- You have the possibility to save the tax return to the archive at anytime by clicking Preview and Save.
-
If manual values are entered in a specific field, then autoupdating is stopped to prevent these values from being written over. Read more about manual entry below.
- You have the possibility to save the tax return to the archive at anytime by clicking Preview and Save.
-
You can also mark all sections as Done with a single click by selecting Set as Ready for Submission in Step 5 of the wizard.
Important: The report cannot be submitted to the authorities unless it has been marked as Ready for Submission.
- The accounting column is locked but the Tax Accounting column is editable.
-
Manual entry in the tax accounting column is highlighted yellow and a refresh button allows the user to revert to the automatically input data. See below.
-
Enter the euros and the cents; do not round off the amounts.
-
Enter positive amounts unless you want to enter a value that is the opposite of an expected value. The default rule is that any revenue will increase profit and any expense will reduce it. This is calculated automatically and for this reason, plus and minus signs are not necessary.
However, if you enter an amount that does not follow the logic of the above default rule, you must enter a minus sign (-) before the amount; The number is then displayed with a negative sign and highlighted in red. see below.
-
If values are entered in certain sections, specific attachments must be submitted with the tax returns. If they are supported, Briox creates these automatically under the section Forms an Attachments.
You can navigate to the form directly by clicking on the blue redirect icon that lights up in the field. see below.
Note: If Briox does not support the attachment the user will receive a warning that a certain attachment needs to be completed directly in My Tax..
New financial year/ new form / new report:
When a new report is selected the following happens:- All data is copied over to the new form in as much as possible
- All automatically input data is updated to that for the new financial year
- All fields where manual input has overwritten automatic input, are returned to automatic input.
- All statuses are reset from "Done" to “Not Started”.
The Financial statements section
This section will be completed with the possibility to attach your financial statements and other specific reports and submit them to the tax authorities and the Finnish patent and registry office (PRH) together with your income tax returns.
