Activating the user licence
- The portal must be published (Portal Preview, click Publish) and the toggle must be activated in the Client overview for the Portal user licence to be visible in the client account under Admin - Users. The accountant can then go in and give the user a portal user right.
- Note that when the portal is Published and the toggle activated in the overview: The portal is activated but only the accountant partners can see it when they log into the client account. The end user needs a licence to access the portal.
- Who can activate the Portal for a Client?
- The systems administrator and the application administrator for the Client manager are the ones who can activate the Portal toggle and give Client Portal user rights.
- An accountant who has the user rights: Activate / Inactivate portal for client accounts, and also has access to that client can activate the Portal on that Client.
- The systems administrator and the application administrator for the Client manager are the ones who can activate the Portal toggle and give Client Portal user rights.
Portal User Rights
Admin rights
The Portal falls under the Client Manager Admin rights for the accountants.
There are no Portal admin rights for the end user but please note that a systems administrator in the users’ program (not a consultant) will also be able to give access rights to the portal once it has been turned on in the account.
Accountant User rights
Fall under the Client manager access rights and the Portal Header.
The rights include the possibility to:
- View the portal
- Amend the Portal
- Activate /inactivate portal for clients they have access to
User rights (end user)
The Portal user rights will give the user access to the portal and they will be able to:
- See the cards that correspond to their user rights in the program: user rights for Accounting, Invoicing & Archive
- Use the links on the cards if they have the access rights required
- Read news
- Read and send messages
Inactivating the Portal and removing user licences
When the toggle is inactivated in the Client overview. The portal right is removed from the client account and all user licences are automatically removed.
