If you want your account statement to be matched automatically you can set up rules for Briox to handle this automatically for you.
Where:
Under Banking - Import Account Statement - Manage Match deviations
What:
Create a rule table based on 3 standard rules.
The only thing you need to do is:
- Choose the rule: Rounding, Intervall or Currency difference
- Choose if the rule should apply to Customer invoices, Supplier invoices or Both
- Enter amounts in € in the input fields in the modal.
See below a rule modal:
How it works:
- If you are matching customer and supplier invoices based on reference numbers, the matching can be further enhanced by the handling of differences based on the rules you create.
- The rules allow the automatic posting of differences on the accounts of your choice so that invoices can be processed automatically and you can return to reconcile the deviations at a point in time that suits you.
- If you use online banking and the match is perfect, the invoice can be posted as paid automatically by Briox. Read more about automation.
You can see the match parameters if you open the matched transaction by clicking on it. See below:
Limitations:
- A rule can only be used once for each invoice type (customer and supplier)
- Where one rule ends the next one can starts so there is no overlap:
For example the rounding should be for deviations smaller than €1, then the interval can start at 1 ≤ deviation ≤10 - Invoices in foreign currency can only be managed with the currency rule.
- The rounding and Interval rules apply only to invoices in Euro.
